After watching a recent interview with Kanye's dude Taz Arnold I watched this documentary called," Bastards of the Party". Taz mentioned it in the interview.

but honestly why are YOU fighting? African and Latino youth fighting for "street cred" or "rights to the streets". Tell me why youre fightig to gain false control or ownership of property that isnt yours. Why are you defending "7th street" when you dont even own the house you live in?...why are you defending your "hood" when you, yourself are selling crack cocaine to its inhabitants? Why are you fighting for some form of pseudo-fame/power. I feel like its a form of settling, in the small scale you may be a "hood leader" but looking at the big picture you own nothing, you mean nothing and youre fighting for basically nothing of meaning.
...even in the metaphorical sense, "Why are you fighting?". No ones life is just a cake walk and there has to be some struggle, so at the end of the day "Why?" why do YOU do what YOU do?
Have a method to YOUR madness?...have something that drives you, a passion, whether it be your children, your future, whatever it may be. I just have come to see that many people do things ignorantly.
...and once you have this introspective moment, ask yourself, "Is it worth it?"
